Beskrivelse af de enkelte undervisningsforløb (1 skema for hvert forløb)
Titel 1
Grundforløb; Zombies
Forløbet præsenterer eleverne for genrer inden for både fiktion og non-fiktion og introducerer dem samtidig for basale tekstanalytiske begreber – alt sammen gennem tekster, der på forskellig vis har zombier som omdrejningspunkt. Zombier (og monstre i det hele taget) kan ses som forvrængede spejlbilleder af noget menneskeligt – ofte noget, vi selv har svært ved at se i øjnene – og teksterne kan derfor fortælle os noget om både det at være menneske og om vores samfund.
Forløbet er bygget op over en rækker overordnede, engelskfaglige læringsmål, så alle elever i grundforløbet sikres det samme udgangspunkt når grundforløbet er slut og studieretningsforløbet begynder.
Forløbet strækker sig over 14 moduler, og nedenfor findes læringsmål og tekstoversigt samt forslag til forløbsplan, arbejdet med grammatik og en samlet skriftlig opgave på 5 elevtimer.

• At kende til de overordnede forskelle på fiktion og non-fiktion
• At kunne give eksempler på genrer indenfor både fiktion og non-fiktion
• At kunne anvende basale tekstanalytiske begreber inden for fiktion (narrator – point of view – setting – characters – themes) og non-fiktion (modes of persuasion – intention – topic – sender – audience – context)

• At kunne identificere de vigtigste ordklasser i en tekst (verber, substantiver, adjektiver)
• At kunne finde neksus (subjekt og verballed) i en sætning

In groups the students delve into film scripts, plots and various cinematic effects + how to change a short story (by Hemingway or Carver) into a film script. On that backgound they wrote their own script and made they own film. Each class voted for the best film in their class, which was to be their nomination for the final Oscar Awards, which was held for all the 2nd year EnA students.
The nominees prepared an Oscar speech for that particular event.

The Topic of Today - the American Presidency
In pairs, the students introduce a news item of their own choice about the American presidential election, for instance, what it requires to become president of the US, presidentail candidates and their running mates, political issues, interviews, debates and speeches.

The English Game - The Victorian Age EKSAMENSEMNE
With the English NetFlix-series The English Game as a starting point, the class has in this course studied the development of the game of football from amateurism to professionalism, fan culture, the role of the FA, the difference between the industrial North and the "soft" South, the social class system in Victorian England (represented by the rowdy millworkers and the network of aristocratic Old Etonians), different accents and dialects, and last but not least the role of Victorian women.
In groups the class have made oral presentations as an introduction to the historical background:
1. The origin of football/soccer and the FA organization and from amateurs to professionals.
2. The historical Fergus Suter and Arthur Kinnaird (and Tommy maybe?)
3. Eton College and Etonians
4. Sports in the Victorian England.
5. Women’s role in Victorian England, including working class women and children in the Victorian Age.
6. Fans and football chants today and then.
7. The history of women's football
8. Facts and fiction in the English Game.
