Shakespeare's Macbeth
Vi læser hele Act I, scene 1+2 i i Act II, og scene iv i Act III, og eleverne arbejder projektorienteret med fremlæggelser om forskellige emner relateret til Shakespeare og hans tid. Emnerne er:
1) Shakespeare’s Life
2) Shakespeare’s works ( comedy, history and tragedy) you should include some of the most famous quotes and explain them.
3) The Globe theatre – then and now.
4) 5) Queen Elizabeth – life & reign.
5) Shakespeare’s legacy. How has he made his mark? Comment on versions/traces of ‘Macbeth’ in film, art and music. You should also comment on the authorship controversy.
Vi slutter af med en formel debat om emnet 'Macbeth is a victim, not a villain', og ser Polanski's film Macbeth.

Literary circles og værklæsning
Dette forløb har fokus på klassikere, og hvad der karakteriserer dem.
Vi arbejder projektorienteret med literature circles, hvor eleverne selv har valgt hvilken klassiker de vil arbejde med, herunder:'
Hver gruppe går i dybden med deres roman og laver præsentationer, så alle i klassen bliver bekendt med de forskellige klassikere.
Derefter læser vi sammen uddrag af Vladimir Nabokovs 'Lolita'( Chapter 1, 10, 11, 13 ), og set filmen 'Lolita' (fra 1997).
