Titel 1	American values in today's US (eksamensemne) Vi har i dette forløb fulgt det amerikanske præsidentvalg mellem Harris og Trump og undersøgt, hvorledes amerikanske værdier og retorik i dag har sin oprindelse i den tidlige grundlæggelse af Amerika og Uafhængighedserklæringen. Amerikanernes særlige "can do" spirit og opfattelsen af USA som et lysende fyrtårn for Europa og resten af verdenen har vi arbejdet med som et filosofisk og historisk fænomen. Titel 2	Horror (eksamensemne) Vi har set på gysergenren fra en biologisk vinkel, hvor chokeffekter og gys optimerer vores primitive instinkter og dermed sikrer menneskeartens overlevelse på savannen. Gysergenren handler dog sjældent kun om blod og chokeffekter, men er et spejl for vores dybeste psykologiske og kulturelle angst. Vi har i forløbet derfor stillet skarpt på gysets anatomi gennem en freudiansk læsning. Vi har undersøgt det psykologiske begreb ’the uncanny’ (das Unheimliche) og identificeret, hvordan horrorfilmen og -litteraturen tematiserer grænserne for seksualitet, lyst og kontrol. Titel 3	Multicultural Britain (eksamensemne) Hovedfokus i dette forløb er romanen Home Fire, der læses som et værk. Vi undersøger samfundsmæssige og kulturelle forhold for muslimer i England med særlig fokus på radikalisering. I denne forbindelse undersøger vi temaer som tilhørsforhold, national identitet, loyalitet, frihed, værdier og holdninger i muslimske miljøer. Romanen læses desuden som en moderne udgave af Antigone. Titel 4	Modern India (eksamensemne) Forløbet har haft fokus på det moderne Indien og landets kontraster. Vi har lagt ud med Gandhis og Indiens frigørelse fra imperiet, og derefter set på social ulighed mellem indere som en videreførelse af magt og undertrykkelse. Omdrejningspunktet har været ulighed mellem kaster og køn. I denne forbindelse har vi undersøgt, hvorvidt social mobilitet er en mulighed i det moderne Indien, og hvilke begrænsninger individet har for selvrealisering. Desuden har vi undersøgt, hvorvidt en hvid hud udtrykker et behov for at imitere vestens skønhedsideal og identificere sig med den tidligere koloniherre.
