#2 Social Media - Are they really social?
Focus:
This introductory topic deals with social media – how we use social media and how our lives are affected by social media.
Our focus will be twofold:
Our first focus is on understanding and discussing challenges regarding social media.
Our second focus is on analyzing and interpreting the portrayal of the challenges in fiction and in non-fiction texts, and on discussing which role the two genres can play in the current debates regarding SO-ME.
Learning goals:
To have sufficient knowledge and command of expressions and vocabulary to engage in discussions dealing with the topic.
To be able to summarize the content of our texts in a short and precise way using linkers to create coherence.
To use your knowledge from your K-class about literary analysis and terms such as characterization, setting, narration in an analysis and interpretation of fiction texts that deal with our topic.
To explain and use the rhetorical pentagram in an analysis of non-fiction texts.
To understand and explain the role of fiction and non-fiction in connection with challenges in society.
To use basic film analysis tools in film analysis.

# 3 Aspects ofAustralia
