Grundforløb: Open Up
”Open Up: Working with genre” er et forløb, der arbejder med at styrke elevernes genrekendskab og mundtlige sprogfærdighed.
Teksterne i forløbet er således knyttet til to tematiske omdrejningspunkter: genrekendskab og at træne sin egen mundtlighed. Der introduceres desuden til basal argumentation.
Eleverne skal især have fokus på at blive trygge ved at tale engelsk i klasserummet og få en faglig ballast, der styrker deres egne udtryksfærdigheder. Der arbejdes med både fiction og non-fiction (artikler, videoer, noveller og digte) i forløbet og introduceres hermed til et bredere udvalg af genrer, som de kommer til at beskæftige sig med i gymnasiet.
Grammatikundervisningen vil fokusere på verbernes tid og form.

Dystopia refers to a world where things are not as they are supposed to be. It is often set
in a futuristic, imagined universe where the illusion of a perfect society (utopia) is maintained through oppressive societal control. Dystopian novels or short stories often criticize societal norms or the political system through the dystopian worst-case scenario.
Therefore, themes in a dystopian story or novel can reflect events relevant for today's society or for its contemporary society.
