Beskrivelse af de enkelte undervisningsforløb (1 skema for hvert forløb)
Titel 1 Climate change and sustainability

Forløbet introducerer eleverne til engelskfagets analyse og fortolkning af tekster i gymnasiet. Teksterne relaterer til emnet Sustainability og bidrager til at skabe bevidsthed hos eleverne om deres egen rolle via begreber som climate awareness, climate change og greenwashing.

Der indgår noveller, lyrik og non-fiktive tekster, herunder en artikel og en dokumentar kortfilm.

Eleverne arbejder bl.a. med det retoriske pentagram, appelformer, the FLIRT model samt begreber til litterær analyse.

Indledningsvist bliver eleverne screenet.

I forlængelse af AP er der fokus på kongruens samt identifikation af ordklasser (verber, substantiver, pronominer, adjektiver, adverbier).

Skriftligt arbejde: kreativ skrivning, introduktion til the five paragraph essay, anvendelse af AI samt begyndende refleksion over udfordringer/muligheder ved AI.

Titel 2 Fantasy

In this topic, students explored the fantasy genre through a selection of classic and modern texts. The aim was to develop students’ reading comprehension, analytical skills, and vocabulary, while introducing them to the conventions and themes typical of fantasy literature.

Titel 4 Dividing Issues in the US

In this topic the students will be able to define the dividing issues of ‘abortion’, ‘euthanasia’ and 'the death penalty'.

Furthermore, the students will learn how to evaluate arguments for and against abortion (pro-life and pro-choice) and evaluate the alternatives to abortion, explain the difference between active and passive euthanasia, explain the difference between voluntary and non-voluntary euthanasia and as well as, explain different beliefs about the right to self-determinism.

Titel 5 Dividing Issues in the US continued EXAM TOPIC

In this topic the students will be define the diving issues of ‘abortion’, ‘euthanasia’ and ‘the death penalty’.

Titel 8 Dystopia EXAM TOPIC

We will investigate dystopian themes in literature. In reading and watching works of the dystopian genre, students will identify and analyze how a dystopian author can turn an inquisitive eye on their own societies in answering this question. Critical and analytical discussions and writing will be required.

Titel 11 Multiculturalism in the UK EXAM TOPIC
