Titel 1	British history Througout this course on british history, you'll get a historic overview of the past in Britain and eventually understand how it has shaped the current UK. You'll learn how to distinguish between the different regions within the UK, understand their similarities and differences. Most importantly, we'll cover british imperialism and the impact of the former british empire on the country today.

Titel 2	Multiculturalism On the basis of british history, you'll learn about some of the effects on contemporary british society. In this course, we'll cover the multicultural change which occured after the demolishing of the british empire. We'll examine the mass migration to Britain, the experience of living in the UK today as "non-white" and the discussions surrounding immigration.

Titel 3	Class in the UK Understanding UK society is equal to understand their class system. How does class effect everyday life in the UK? How does it effect the school system, the political life etc.? You'll learn how the class system in the UK makes everyday life very different from the one we have in DK and also the one you know from the US.

Titel 4	Analysing fiction The aim of this course is for you to get the required analytical awareness to engage with fiction. Throughout the course you'll be introduced to analytical tools such as narration, setting, characterization, different genres and much more. All of these tools will help you engage with a story to the extent that you'll understand it on a deeper level.

Titel 5	Værklæsning/reading a fictional work On the basis of what you have learned about analyzing fiction, you'll now read and work with an entire novel. You'll get to choose from three different books which you will read with other students. You'll do group work and reading circles thoughout the course and finish with a presentation of the book in front of the class.
Indhold	Kernestof: Watch the following video before class: Read chapter 1 of Animal Farm. Read chapter 2+3 before class and do your assigned roles, so that you are ready to engage in a discussion with your group in literary circles. Read chapter 4+5 of Animal Farm before class and do your assigned roles. Read chapter 6+7 before class and do your assigned roles, so that you are ready for literary circles.

How is it problematic in connection to Brexit?
