Beskrivelse af de enkelte undervisningsforløb (1 skema for hvert forløb)

Non-Fiction
Forløbet introducerer eleverne til genren Non-fiction og sætter særlig fokus på taler og reklamer. Eleverne lærer at analysere non-fiction tekster ved hjælp af bl.a. det retoriske pentagram, retoriske virkemidler og appelformer. Forløbet sætter desuden uden fokus på typisk Trump-retorik.
Sideløbende med elevernes non-fiction-analyser, har vi fokus på, hvordan disse kan oversættes til skrift og øver dermed den ene af de skriftlige opgaver eleverne kan møde til deres skriftlige eksamen: non-fiction essayet. Slutteligt træner vi, hvordan man skriver et summary.

The American Dream
I forløbet stifter eleverne bekendtskab med Den Amerikanske drøm, hvor de forsøger at komme nærmere, hvordan den Amerikanske Drøm opnåes, og om den er mulig for alle at opnå. Udover at få kendskab til forskellige definitioner af den amerikanske drøm (herunder James Truslow Adams' definition, omtalen af The American Dream i The Declaration of Independence, Thomas Jeffersons, George Washintons, Abraham Lincolns og Theodore Roosevelts omtale af begrebet) introduceres eleverne også for begreber og fænomener som immigration og The Great Depression. I forløbet sættes der særlig fokus på fiktionsgenren med introduktion og løbende gennemgang af analysebegreber relevant for fiktion samt særligt fokus på, hvordan man skriver det litterære essay.
