Basic Spanish
This course follows the coursebook and activity book "Panorama hispanohablante", Cambridge University Press, 2019
The course aims at building a basic vocabulary in Spanish based on texts and exercises from "Panorama hispanohablante". We will work with the exercises orally and in writing. The students will also be introduced to audio exercises.
The course also introduces basic grammar such as: nouns, gender, adjectives, pronouns, prepositions, negation, verbs in present tense, present perfect, past tense and future, verbs that require indirect object, connectors, estar + gerundio, prepositions, pronouns.
Topics included: Personal details, appearance and character, relationships, sports, neighborhood, town and services, physical geography, food and drink, employment, education, holidays, transport, technology, weather, physical health, environment and climate.
The students are also introduced to Paper 1 and Paper 2. We will work with different text types: blog, diary, article, postcard, poster, email etc.
