Titel 1
The Evil Within
Forløbet "The evil within" fokuserer primært på fiction analyse af teksten hvor ondskab er omdrejningspunktet. Vi undersøger karakterer som på forskellige måder er onde, eller bliver det, for at udforske fiktionens forskellige svar på hvorfor nogen mennesker udfører onde handlinger.
Vi prøver at spejle os i karaktererne ved at diskutere etiske dilemmaer og læse om eksperimenter om ondskab fra virkeligheden, f.eks. Milgrams Experiment.
Særligt fokus på begreberne: characterization, setting, atmosphere, mood og composition.

I dette forløb tager vi hul på nogle af de grundlæggende elementer i non-fiction analyse med fokus på argumentation, ethos, pathos og logos samt style of writing. Vi øver begreberne med små tekster og debatter og skriver til sidst non-fiction analyse af en Ted Talk.

Gangs of London
"Gangs of London" er et forløb som undersøger konsekvenserne af bandevold i England, samt forskellige grunde til at nogle unge englændere vælger at gå ind i en bande. Forløbet toner til klassens studieretningsfag samfundsfag når vi undersøger data om relativ fattigdom og absolut fattigdom i England, samt kort inddrager Bourdieus kaptalformer. Vi læser romanen "Hello Mum" med fokus på narrative technique, main character, style og composition. Til sidst sammenligner vi romanen med TV-serien "Top Boy Summerhouse" samt træner analyse af filmiske virkemidler.

"India Today" handler om det moderne Indien og nogle af de grænser (demarcations) der optræder mellem mennesker i Indien i dag. Her har vi især fokus på grænser mellem sociale klasser (the Indian caste system) og mellem mænd og kvinder. Vi arbejder med de problemer Indien har i forbindelse med disse emner og hvordan man på forskellige måder prøver at forbedre disse problemer i landet.
