In Choices and Consequences, you will be introduced to working with the genres fiction and non-fiction. You will work with different subgenres, including poems, articles, essays, films, and documentary films.
You will also learn how to write a discussion as part of a written assignment, focusing on how to present and argue different points of view.
Through the course, you will explore how choices affect people’s lives and the consequences that follow.

In this course, you will work with the theme of evil through both fiction and non-fiction texts. You will read and watch different texts with a focus on understanding what evil is and how it can be explained.
The course is based on Lars Svendsen’s theory of the four types of evil, which you will use to analyse and discuss the texts.
You will explore how evil can appear in everyday life as well as in more extreme situations. You will also practise analysing characters, motives, and themes, and discuss why people act the way they do.

In this course, Diversity and Multiculturalism in Britain, you will work with both fiction and non-fiction texts with a focus on the advantages and challenges of a multicultural society.
You will explore what it means that Britain is a multicultural country and how different cultures are part of everyday life. The course also looks at how immigration has changed Britain and how people experience diversity in different ways.
Through texts and films, you will discuss both positive aspects and possible challenges of multiculturalism. You will also focus on how young people live with cultural diversity and whether it is possible to feel part of more than one identity at the same time.
Throughout the course, you will practise analysing fiction and non-fiction, and you will work on understanding different perspectives on culture, identity, and belonging.
