Klassen har arbejdet i 6 grupper med forskellige nyere amerikanske TV-serier (drama). Grupperne har set (mindst) første halvdel af sæson 1 af deres serie, lavet en præsentation af serien, næranalyse af et klip fra serien (med mediefaglig vinkel), samt udarbejdet arbejdsspørgsmål til resten af klassen til det afsnit grupperne valgte til forevisning for hele klassen.
Hovedformålet har været at finde frem til hvilket billede de respektive serier giver af USA, amerikanerne, deres liv og deres værdier, her i blandt fokus på den amerikanske drøm. Forløbet kan altså ses som en forlængelse af forløbet om The American Dream..
