Black Voices
Forløb om sortes historie i USA. Vi laver nedslag i forskellige perioder fra slaveriet til i dag, og ser på, hvordan forskellige historiske faktorer har ledt frem til de forhold, som de sorte lever under i nutiden.
Vi tager udgangspunkt i bogen Black Voices.
Derudover ser vi filmatiseringen af The Help af Kathryn Stockett.
Fokusområder:
- Slavery
- Jim Crow and segregation
- The Civil Rights movement
- Police brutality
- The role of hip-hop in black communities
Vi arbejder desuden med fremlæggelser og med skriftlighed i forbindelse med de læste tekster.
