The Young Consumer and Social media
I dette forløb kigger vi på "the young consumer" i kombination med sociale medier.
Vi arbejder med en definition af sociale medier og kigger på hvorfor man inddeler i forskellige generationer.
I forløbet introduceres I til tekstanalyse af non-fictions tekster så som artikler.
Vi læser og analyserer også short stories med tilknytning til temaet.
Dette indarbejdes i jeres afleveringer, så I får arbejdet med en short story i timerne og dernæst bruger jeres arbejde i jeres analytiske essay.
Ud over forbrugergrupper/generationer, læser vi også kildekritisk artikler med formål at få en forståelse for emnet samt diskutere problemstillinger i forbindelse med sociale medier.
Vi bruger også lidt tid på at se et interview med Simon Sinek, som udlægger sin forståelse af Millennials og de fire karakteristika, som han mener adskiller dem fra ældre kollegaer på arbejdspladsen i henhold til sociale medier/telefoner.
Sideløbende med temaet arbejder vi med uregelmæssige verber, tiderne på engelsk samt ordklasser.

Vi har læst Imagined Communities for at forstå konceptet "nation".
I forlængelse af det historiske perspektiv har vi arbejdet med historien bag det Canadiske flag og diskturet hvorfor flag har signifikant betydning for et land som Cananda.
Vi har også arbejdet med den kulturelle del; multikulturelle Canada og hvordan Canada er gået i den retning.
Vi har lavet reklameanalyse ved at kigge på Molson Canadian ølreklamer og sammenholdt det med canadisk identitet.

I starten af forløbet læser vi lidt teori omkring business ethics, problematikkerne bag i forhold til virksomheder og deres tilgang til emnet samt en definition af emnet.
Vi arbejder med de tre niveauer af business ethics: Macro, corporate og individuel.
Vi arbejder også med forskellige cases af business ethics med fokus på spontan samtale og argumentation.
Dertil arbejder vi med forskellige, selvvalgte emner inde for business ethics gennem en række videoer med John Oliver.
Vi arbejder også med modes of appeal i forbindelse med reklamer (anti-smoking commercials) hvor I efter gennemgang af seks udvalgte reklamer selv skal forsøge at producere en reklame eller anti-reklame med en efterfølgende præsentation af hvilke modes of appeal, som I har anvendt og hvorfor.
Der skal også være fokus på hvilken målgruppe, som I går efter og hvordan det kommer til udtryk i jeres ordvalg.
Endeligt har vi arbejdet med en række forbruger spørgsmål i forhold til business ethics med fokus på at kunne indgå i en dialog om et emne med korrekt ordforråd.
