Vi har fortsat vores træning i brugen af forskellige analysemodeller, hvor vi har fokuseret på at anvende fagtermer præcist og selektere de mest relevante punkter og pointer. Dette har hjulpet os med at forbedre vores analytiske færdigheder og give gode tekstnedslag som dokumentation.
Derudover har vi undersøgt emnet vold og forsøgt at forklare de underliggende årsager til voldelig adfærd. Vi har set på forskellige faktorer, der kan forårsage vold. Gennem denne undersøgelse har vi fået en dybere forståelse af de dynamikker, der ligger bag vold.

Med udgangspunkt i romanen "The Curious Incident of the Dog In the Night-Time" har vi gennemført en dybdegående undersøgelse af normalitetsbegrebet og de forskellige måder, hvorpå individer kan adskille sig fra denne norm. Vi har særligt fokuseret på autisme og Aspergers syndrom, og i denne forbindelse har vi anvendt begreberne neurotypical og neurodivergent for at beskrive de forskellige måder, hjernen kan fungere på. Forløbet afsluttedes med en debat, hvor vi satte Christophers forældre på anklagebænken for en række påståede "forbrydelser", hvilket gav anledning til en diskussion om ansvar og forståelse.

Vi har arbejdet med, hvad der skræmmer mennesker, og undersøgt de forskellige teknikker, som tekster kan anvende for at fremkalde frygt hos læseren. Dette inkluderer en udforskning af horror-litteraturens rolle, som går ud over blot at skræmme, og hvordan den kan bruges til at udforske dybere psykologiske og samfundsmæssige temaer. Vi har også lært og anvendt en række fagtermer såsom plot twist, foreshadowing, Chekhov's gun, red herring og false protagonist for at forstå og analysere disse teknikker bedre.
Derudover har vi arbejdet med, hvordan forskellige medietyper som graphic novels, film og andet videomateriale hver især har unikke måder at påvirke og engagere læseren på. Dette har givet os en bredere forståelse af, hvordan forskellige medier kan udnytte deres særlige styrker til at skabe en skræmmende og medrivende oplevelse.

Vi har arbejdet med sammenhænge mellem forbrydelse og straf. Herunder hvordan man kan argumentere for og imod fx dødsstraf, og hvordan man kan være kritisk over for andres argumenter. Vi har undersøgt formålet med at straffe og arbejdet med begreberne retribution, deterrence, prevention. Derudover har vi anvendt materiale om dødsstraf i Texas for at undersøge fordelingen af henrettede på fx race, alder, køn, uddannelse etc.
Vi har også lavet gruppearbejde om emnet, herunder dødsstraffens historie, og metoder til henrettelse i USA. Til sidst har vi set uddrag af filmen "Dead Man Walking" for at undersøge, hvordan den behandler emnet, og hvordan en film kan (forsøge at) påvirke seerens følelser og holdninger.

I denne sammenhæng har vi især fokuseret på de kulturelle forskelle, der eksisterer, og de udfordringer, som kan opstå som følge heraf. Dette har været særligt relevant for unge mennesker, der ofte står over for dilemmaet med at skulle navigere og passe ind i flere forskellige kulturer samtidig. Vi har gennemført et forløb om irsk historie og litteratur med særligt fokus på den store hungersnød og kampen for uafhængighed. Selvom vi ikke nåede at dække alt i dybden, har vi opnået en forståelse af Irlands historie, især perioden som britisk koloni og den kamp, irerne måtte føre for at opnå uafhængighed. Vi har undersøgt de udfordringer og lidelser, som irerne måtte gennemgå som følge af hungersnøden, og hvordan denne tragiske periode påvirkede deres samfund og kultur.
