Titel 1 GF: Growing up

During your introduction class to English B, you will be working on a variety of texts.

We will begin with something that you have all experienced (and are indeed experiencing): growing up. Various aspects will be dealt with, such as the parent-child relationship, finding one's identities, transitions to adulthood and lost innocense. We will look at how several writers of fiction have dealt with these issues.

-  text reading competence
-  to know how to account for texts and write a paper (introduction to argumentative essay as a genre)
-  to be able to analyse using elements from a new criticism approach: setting, narrator, characters and theme
