Titel 2 Hillbillies

JD Vance has become Vicepresident in the USA, and he represents a group of people in the country whom have lacked representation. J.D. Vance is a prominent voice in contemporary discussions about rural America, particularly the white working-class communities of Appalachia. Often labeled as "hillbillies," these communities are shaped by a strong sense of cultural identity, but also by long-standing issues such as poverty, lack of educational opportunities, and limited economic mobility. In recent years, political shifts have drawn national attention to these regions, as frustration with the status quo has led many residents to support populist movements. The intersection of culture, poverty, and politics in Appalachia reflects broader tensions in American society and highlights the struggles faced by those living on the margins of economic and political power.

Titel 3 the science of the brain

In this course, students explore the complex relationship between the human brain and the digital world. Through discussions and texts, they examine how smart devices, multitasking, and constant digital stimulation affect attention, memory, focus, and mental well-being. The course also addresses topics such as brain function, privacy, the impact of AI, and how technology can both aid and challenge our thinking. Students will reflect on the consequences of living in a highly connected society and consider how to take better care of their mental capacities in a digital age.

Vi skal se på de filmiske virkemidler, som bruges for at holde seeren helt yderest på stolekanten, og vi skal se på brugen af dyr i Dracula for at skabe en stemning.

Titel 7 X-Mas

The students have explored the theme of Christmas through a variety of texts and media. They have watched and analyzed King Charles’ Christmas speech, focusing on both its message and rhetorical style. As part of their literary studies, they worked with the short story Auggie Wrench’s Christmas Story, examining how postmodern elements are used to challenge traditional Christmas narratives. In addition, students have read and discussed various short texts, each offering a unique perspective on the meaning and celebration of Christmas.  Cinematic effects and fictional analysis were in focus, as the students watched the christmas moveis either Klaus or The Grinch. Altogether, the students have gained insight into how Christmas is represented and questioned in different forms of communication and storytelling.
