Titel 10	Horror and the Uncanny. EKSAMENSRELEVANT Vi arbejder i forløbet med horrorgenren og dens karakteristika (herunder også gotiske træk) og teorier om, hvilke behov genren opfylder for læseren. Der læses tekster som på den ene eller anden måde har træk fra horrorgenren. Joyce G. Sarricks: "The readers' Advisory Guide og Genre Fiction", kap. 6: "Horror". Kapitlet indeholder definitioner på horrorgenren. Stephen King: "The Raft", 1982 (novelle) Peter Benchley: "Jaws", 1974 kap. 1 (uddrag af roman) Mary Shelley: "Frankenstein", 1818, kap. 5 (uddrag af roman) Stephen King: "The Man Who Loved Flowers", 1977 (novelle) Nb: I dette forløb kan der også perspektiveres til de gotiske elementer i Edgar Allen Poes "The Raven", som er læst i forløbet "The Many Faces of Love". Forløbet fylder 5%

IKKE EKSAMENSRELEVANT Victory Grundforløbet fungerer som en introduktion til engelskfagets forskellige genre samt til de måder, hvorpå engelsk kan bruges i de forskellige studieretninger.
