This course focuses on Sally Rooney's 2018 novel, Normal People. Additionally, episodes from the BBC tv-series, also entitled Normal People, from 2020.
The course has incorporated a number of analysis methods: close readings focusing on characterisation, narrator, point of view and setting, long reads dealing with the structure of the novel, communication analysis, and analysis of film as well. Also, remediation has been a topic.
