Titel 2 Truly Sorry

The topic is based on a course in the anthology "Narrating Truth" (2023) by Katrine Brøndsted and Mathias Larsen. The students will work with various material; a speech, Youtube videos, a podcast, and social media posts. The purpose of the course is to examine Benoit's apology strategies and style of writing, as well as discuss whether the sender is succesful in using a specific strategy and whether the apology truly is an apology or apologia (image repair). As part of the topic the students will analyse Youtube apology videos of their own choice and present their analyses.

Titel 3 Dystopia

The overall aim of this topic is to examine dystopian traits in literature and the popularity of the genre. The students will in groups start out by creating a shared vision of a utopian society that they present to each other, so they get a better understanding of the connection and distinction between utopia and dystopia; how a dystopian society might look utopian at first glance but isn't beneficial for everyone in society.
The topic will focus on texts that portray either technological control or Religious/philosophical control and we will use Raymond Williams' theory on four types of dystopian worlds; 1.The hell, 2.The externally altered world, 3.The willed transformation, 4.The technological transformation
