Growing up
In the topic "Growing up" we focus on parent-child relationships but also the identity of the child transitioning from child to adult.
The students are introduced to different subgenres in fiction (short story, poetry, short film, film) and to non-fiction (article and a speech). The aim of the topic is to introduce the students to text analysis; summary, characterisation, setting, POV/narrator, symbolism, composition, themes and title as well as cinematic technique.
