EKSAMEN Postmodernism
Description:
This course focuses on common postmodern literary features.
We have analysed and interpreted different materials based on definitions of what characterises postmodern literature (excerpts from novels, a poem, music video, and films). The writers subjectively reflect the tendencies in a modern society, where the story typically is set in a setting where traditional roles and landmarks have disappeared, and where the main character’s perception of reality is fluid (alienation, fragmentation, nihilism). Fragmentation and experimentation characterise structure and content.
