Titel 1 Growing Up

We will study and discuss the topic "Growing Up" including, but not limited to, the transition from child to youth and youth to adult, social responsibility, bullying and other sub-themes.
We will also explore basic grammar concepts and introduce basic literary analysis. There will be a focus on vocabulary acquisition, metalinguistic awareness, and not least of all personal development.

The written work is designed to support your reading and analytical skills, and you will have linguistic (grammar) as well as literary (analytical) assignments ranging from 2 to 4 hours of home time each.

Titel 2 Folk Tales

In this unit we will delve into the folk tale, focusing on various analytical models to give us a foundation for discussing analytical methodology (i.e. What is the point of using models to analyse folk tales? What possibilities and limitations lie in each model?)

We discussed: The Contract Model, The Home-Out-Home Model, The Actantian Model, Propp/Zipes’ 8 Elements, and The Rhetorical Pentagram.

The summary as a genre was introduced for the level B exam.

Titel 6 Equality?

This unit will take a literary approach to equality, considering George Orwell's famous 1945 work "Animal Farm". We will consider how different literary approaches give different results and end with a book trailer as a physical product to represent our analysis.

For the A-level students, this will be part of the Spanish-English cooperation "Verdensmålprojektet". For students studying the classics, the focus will be totalitarianism contra democracy.
