In the first three months of English we will study the theme *Crime and Violence.’ In this theme the students will be introduced to the basic way of working in the English lessons: analysis of both fiction and non-fiction texts, and we will have a brief look at the analysis of film narratives.
The most important analytical words will be: Fiction, narrator, setting, theme & message and characterization. Non-fiction, sender, receiver, message, intention and context. Style of writing.

In grammar we will work with S-V concord, S-V word order, and the use and comparison of adjectives.
