Economics
We have worked with micro- and macroeconomic conditions in society.
We have particularly worked with the topics in a light of inequality, including discussed shortages and growth needs, the welfare triangle's various arenas for meeting needs and various economic systems, including market, planning, and mixed economy.
We have worked with the economic goals for good economics, including the students have become acquainted with the concepts of GDP, inflation, balance of payments, sustainable economy and government finances.
In practical exercises, we have examined the circulation of money. We have worked with various fiscal and monetary policy measures to prevent violent economic fluctuations.
We have worked with the historical development of the Danish welfare state. We have compared Gösta Esping Andersen's three welfare models: the universal, selective and residual model, and their different ideological relationships to the division of responsibilities in society. In conclusion, we have discussed the future prospects for the Danish welfare model, including in particular threats to the Danish welfare state and solutions to them.
