Titel 2 Consumerism

Consumerism is the idea that increasing the consumption of goods and services is a desirable goal and that a person's wellbeing and happiness depend on obtaining consumer goods and material possessions.
However, Consumerism increases debt levels which in turn results in mental health problems like stress and depression. Consumerism forces people to work harder, borrow more and spend less time with loved ones.
In this topic “Consumerism” we will look at why people buy, buy, buy AND what underlying consequences this excessive spending might have. Suggestions will be given for how to live a more frugal life, a life of less debt, less stress, and less consumption.

Dystopian literature is a form of speculative fiction that began as a response to utopian literature. A dystopia is an imagined community or society that is dehumanizing and frightening. A dystopia is an antonym of a utopia, which is a perfect society.
The dystopian genre imagines worlds or societies where life is extremely bad because of deprivation or oppression or terror, and human society is characterized by human misery, such as squalor, oppression, disease, overcrowding, environmental destruction, or war.
