Titel 1 Youth and Identity

The theme focuses on different elements dealing with being young and finding out who you are – race, gender, food, relationship with parents, etc.

We have worked on different elements of textual analysis, as the texts included range across various genres. For each text, we have typically done one or more pre-reading exercises, analytical work, and at least one post-reading exercise.

Titel 2 Modernism

We will be studying a specific literary period, which is essential for understanding literature from different time periods, and the period immediately after WWI is a good starting point.
We will be reading different types of texts. Of course, poetry plays an important role, as a number of famous poets were also soldiers in the trenches of WWI.
