Forløb 1: Gender and identity in late modernity
Course 1: Gender and Equality
This course focuses on the theme of gender and equality. It is divided into three sub-themes, with the goal of introducing students to the topic from political, economic, and sociological perspectives. Additionally, the course aims to help students develop a range of academic and methodological skills, emphasizing the importance of thinking and working within a social science context. Part of the course will be dedicated to these skills to provide a strong foundation for future studies. Each lesson introduce academic elements, resulting in a written and syllabus, which must be defended in the end of the course.

Learning Objectives:
• Apply and combine knowledge of sociology, politics, and economics to explain current societal issues, including occupational problems, and discuss solutions.
• Use knowledge, concepts, and core material to explain and discuss societal issues.
• Demonstrate understanding of the subject’s identity and methods.
• Formulate social science questions, collect, critically evaluate, and use various materials to document academic connections.
• Communicate academic connections at the subject’s taxonomic levels using academic concepts.
• Argue for personal viewpoints on an academic basis and engage in academic dialogue.
