Modern Life Online (Grundforløb)
Grundforløbets tema er “Modern Life Online” med udgangspunkt i tekster fra antologien Footprints. Eleverne introduceres for måder, hvorpå der arbejdes med tekster og sprog i faget engelsk i gymnasiet. I forløbet er der fokus på at præsentere eleverne for tekstanalytisk læsning integreret med sproglig opmærksomhed og skriftlighed. Der læses en novelle samt et uddrag fra en roman. Der fokuseres på analyseaspekterne setting, narrator/point of view, characterization, themes og plot i arbejdet med teksterne. Eleverne ser også forskellige film, kortfilm, trailer, mm.

Election Year: The Upcoming American Election 2024
The class has worked with the anthology Election Year by Genefke, Mikkelsen and Wich (2024), Columbus, which deals with various aspects of the upcoming American Election. The class has worked mainly with issues of division in America, especially in terms of class and income. The texts have been a mixture of non-fiction (Biden and Trump) and song-lyrics (Tyler Childers and Oliver Anthony). The topic has also included an election night at the school with folk dancing and election activities.
