Der læses uddrag af romanen “The Perks of Being a Wallflower” samt værker der relaterer til emnerne på den ene eller anden måde. Der fokuseres på fortælleteknik, personkarakteristik, filmanalyse, miljø og setting. The subject also involves arguments for and against, and an ethical perspective on the issue. Through the analysis of speeches, films, Ted talks and poems the students learn about rhetorical devices, modes of appeal, and argumentation.
