Titel 1	Capital Punishment in the US The class investigates the subject of capital punishment in the US through fiction and non-fiction texts. The subject also involves arguments for and against, and an ethical perspective on the issue. In addition to this, we look at the topic of growing old in prison and death row through pictures and text. Lastly we watch Tim Robbins, Dead Man Walking (1995) pages read: 30

Titel 2	Global Warming and Celebrities This topic looks at Climate Change and has as part of its focus the way celebrities are instrumental in bringing about understanding of this serious topic. Through the analysis of speeches, films, Ted talks and poems the students learn about rhetorical devices, modes of appeal, and argumentation. The class finished off with making a campaign video to raise awareness about the issues worked with.
