Forløbet zoomer ind på Donald J. Trump efter præsidentnomineringen. Forløbet undersøger, hvorvidt Storbritanien har bevæget sig fra statsmultikulturalisme til et postmigrantisk samfund. Først beskæftiger forløbet sig med den kolonialistiske fortid og forsøger derigennem at forklare nogle af migrationsstrømningerne. This Black Lives Matter topic attempts, through a variety of texts, to give the students, among other things, a historical perspective on race in the US today, and therefore the topic takes as its point of departure slavery and moves from there through the Am. Civil War, the Gettysburg Address, the Jim Crow Laws, the Civil Rights movement to today where the US still seems to have a degree of structural racism in its institutions resulting, for example, in the death of George Floyd. We read diaries, song lyrics, poetry and speeches.The students make presentations on various subjects and we watch Matsouka's Queen and Slim (2019)
