The American Frontier. I dette forløb har vi undersøgt, hvordan det var at leve på den amerikanske "frontier" og fået indblik i de historiske omstændigheder omkring befolkningen af Amerika. Vi har talt om begrebet "manifest destiny" og om, hvordan livet på grænsen mellem civilisationen og vildmarken har været med til at skabe nogle af de grundlæggende amerikanske værdier. (15%)

6. Forløb - Multicultural Britain (Eksamen)
In this topic, the students have worked with Britain as a multicultural society. The students have used Berry (1990), who proposed that the positive and negative orientations of migrants toward maintaining their heritage culture and toward contact with the host society could be combined in four different acculturation strategies: integration, assimilation, separation, and marginalization.
To begin with, the students have read Riz Ahmed's poetry slam, Where you From, where he articulates the difficulties in belonging to many different cultures,thus belonging to nowhere. (20%)
