12. Macbeth - Man and King - EKSAMEN
Shakespeare's play, MACBETH, is for ever a relevant study of man and ambition, of power and human frailty.
The course involves reading excerpts from "Macbeth". Background knowledge of the Renaissance and the Elizabethan times in England will be studied through texts and videos.
Cartoon versions and AI will be used in interactive excersises.
To support understanding of the play in the original language, a modern translation has been provided.
Polanski's interpretation in his film "Macbeth" from 1971 will illustrate a mediation of the play.
Through interactive excersises and students performing selected scenes from the play, will further the understanding of the characters in the play and their actions.
Shakepeare's sonnets are introduced and personalised in an interactive task. The sonnet form is explained and Sonnet 18 is introduced as a model.
In groups the students write their own sonnet, using AI. The sonnets have to be in the correct form and declare love of something/somebody. The groups perform their sonnets either singing, playing or acting according their own choice. The sonnets are collected in a little anthology.
