Target audience/target group: The main group of people the ad/commercial is trying to reach (age, gender, occupation, salary etc.).
Message: The main idea the advertiser wants the target group to believe.
Logo: A mark or symbol which represents the product or company.
Brand: The name a company gives a product to differentiate it from other products.
Slogan: A short memorable phrase, e.g. Let's go places (Toyota).
Celebrity endorsement: When an organization chooses to use a celebrity to represent its product/service.
Testimonials: When a company chooses to use ordinary people to testify about the qualities of their product/service.

The theme focuses on the US and why abortion might be a controversial subject. We will study abortion laws in the US and consider why Americans have such varying opinions. Furthermore, we will relate this to the basic American values and beliefs. As a part of the theme, the students are to read the novel 'Push'.
