EKSAMEN Taylor Swift's America
Forløb om Taylor Swift som popstjerne og kunstner samt hendes betydning for og portrættering af USA
Forløbet bygger på en antagelse om, at Taylor Swift, hendes person, fanbase og tekster både er en prisme, igennem hvilken ærkeamerikanske værdier, motiver og fortællinger præsenteres og kommenteres, og samtidig influerer nutidens amerikanske samfund - endda i en grad som af flere blev italesat som havende potentiale til at påvirke udfaldet af det amerikanske præsidentvalg i 2024.
Vi har beskæftiget os med sagprosatekster om Taylor Swifts indflydelse og forfatterskab og analyseret tekster af Taylor Swift - primært sangtekster - for at danne os et indtryk af hendes personlige og kunstneriske historie, fællestræk og gennemgående temaer i hendes sangskrivning samt hendes formidling af og indflydelse på det amerikanske samfund, kultur og/eller identitet. Vi har derfor, foruden et tekstorienteret (nykritisk/formalistisk) fokus, også anlagt et afsender- og kontekstorienteret fokus i analysen af teksterne. I modulerne op til det amerikanske præsidentvalg har vi også arbejdet med at få et overblik over valgsituationen og Taylor Swifts mulighed for at påvirke denne.
Forløbet har desuden fungeret som grundlag for at opbygge et fælles ordforråd til analyse og sprogbeskrivelse samt tilgang til analyse af fiktions- og sagprosatekster.

EKSAMEN The vampire in fiction
Efter en induktiv start, hvor eleverne identificerede klassiske vampyrtræk i Stephen Kings "Popsy" og Bram Stokers "Dracula", arbejdede vi os op igennem litteraturhistorien fra romantikken gennem Victoriatiden til post-modernismen.
Med omdrejningspunkt i citatet "Every Age Embraces the Vampire it Needs" (Stuart Fleming, 2019) er teksterne blevet sat i historisk perspektiv, og væsentlige træk fra de litteraturhistoriske perioder Victoria-tiden (britisk litteraturhistorie) og post-modernismen (amerikansk litteraturhistorie) er blevet fremhævet og analyseret.
I slutningen af forløbet har et særligt analytisk fokuspunkt været karakteristik og synsvinkel, og hvordan det med tiden bliver mere normalt for vampyrerne at fremstå mere menneskelige og fortælle deres egen historie. Det sidste bliver især synligt, når vi læser "Twilight" og "Midnight Sun" og får den samme historie fra to forskellige synsvinkler.

Narrating the non-human
Forløbet indeholder tekster i forskellige genrer, bl.a. et skrevet værk, som på åbenlys eller mere subtil vis fortæller en historie om forholdet mellem mennesker som art og noget ikke-menneskeligt – oftest ved at synsvinklen helt eller delvist ligger hos det ikke-menneskelige.
I forløbet indgår der både sproglig og filmisk analyse. I forløbets første del har vi især læst tekster, hvor robotter og cyborgs repræsenterer det ikke-menneskelige. I den forbindelse har vi inddraget generativ AI både som læringsredskab men også som objekt for analysen, hvor eleverne bl.a. har identificeret stilistisk og indholdsmæssig forekomst af antropomorfisme ved ChatGPTs output.
Anden del af forløbet er centreret om tekster, hvor dyr er manifestationen af det ikke-menneskelige. Vi har i analysen af teksterne især haft fokus på synsvinkel og fortolkningen af, hvordan (magt)forholdet mellem mennesker og de ikke-menneskelige væsner fremstilles samt på at identificere og diskutere forekomsten af koncepterne bag forløbets nøgleord ”anthropocentrism”, ”anthropomorphism”, ”posthumanism” og ”zoomorphism” og forholdt os kritisk til det i relation til klima- og biodiversitetskrisen.

EKSAMEN Life, language and legacy in Singapore
Eleverne har sat sig ind i aspekter af landets mentalitet og kultur og hvordan disse kommer til udtryk i det konkurrencemindede skolesystem, arbejdsmarkedet, forskelle mellem generationer og forhold mellem forældre og børn. EKSAMEN Rocky relationships
Vi fokuserer på det klassiske kærlighedsforhold mellem mand og kvinde og i særdeleshed ægteskabet. Hvad skal der til for at skabe et lykkeligt parforhold? Hvilke faktorer kan spænde ben for pars lykkelige slutning?
Vi starter med at undersøge to parforhold i Shakespeares værker: Macbeth og Lady Macbeth samt Othello og Desdemona. Vi læser korte uddrag af de to værker med fokus på, hvad der sker imellem de to partnere.
Derefter læser vi noveller om samme emne. Et særligt fokuspunkt i denne forbindelse er kendetegn ved den amerikanske minimalisme.
