Værket er dog også blevet brugt som parallel til samtidige emner og som udgangspunkt for feministisk læsning. Titel 4	The Bad, the Mad and the Evil (Exam) The Bad, the Mad and the Evil (Exam) Forløbet gennemgår opfattelser af ondskab og vanvid igennem tiden. Vi har brugt Augustins "moral evil" overfor "natural evil" og suppleret det med begrebet "supernatural evil". I forløbet har vi arbejdet med Shakespeare og poetiske virkemidler og struktur samt forskellene på moderne engelsk og EME (Early Modern English). Vi har læst adskillige scener fra Macbeth og hele først akt, samt set filmatiseringen "The Tragedy of Macbeth". Derudover har vi arbejdet med Edgar Allan Poes The Tell-Tale Heart (1843) og Stephen Kings "Strawberry Spring" (1968) og har derved arbejdet med et bredt litteraturhistorisk spænd. En nøgleproblematik har været det overnaturlige kontra det psykologiske, samt hvorvidt karakterne har magt over deres egne handlinger.
