Titel 1	American Politics 2024 A brief look into American politics and the 2024 elections. Focus on the political system, American beliefs, and the major issues in the 2024 elections, primarily abortion. All material should be available on Lectio.

Titel 2	India Past &Present ndia - looked at from a great many aspects, primarily based on the chapter from Wider Contexts, supplemented by a few stories, documentaries (Gandhi, Partition and India -the colony), and articles - all found here on lectio. Our main sub-themes: India as a British colony - The Partition, and culture clashes (The Word Love"), marriage and colourism. Most major aspects, such as Gandhi, Religion, Great Britain´s involvement and role, were dealt with in student presentations. Titel 4	Shakespeare - Romeo&Juliet We studied the balcony scene and the tomb-scene from Shakespeare´s Romeo &Juliet, a few sonetts (18, 29, 130, 138) - 100% focus on the writings of the great bard. We started the theme by looking at the lay of the land during the Elizabethan era. All documents found on lectio . We watched the 2013 film version (on youtube) of the 2 scenes.

Titel 5	Northern Ireland A quick trip to Northern Ireland to round off our year. Most text deal with various aspects of The Troubles. Swift's "A modest Proposal" and some basic info to start, followed by articles ('Troubles tourism': should Derry be celebrating its political murals? from The Guardian, songlyrics (Sunday, Bloody Sunday (U2 and O'Connor's "This is a Rebel Song" , a movie (Belfast, Brannagh, 2021 and short stories, "Good Girl" (Conlon McKenna) "No Angel" (McGill, 2011). A speech by Thatcher was looked at, as well as various sources on Northern Ireland's connection to Brexit.
