Et forløb om den litterære krise, som fulgte terrorangrebet på World Trade Centret. Hvordan kunne man skrive om noget, der var så tæt på. Som rystede mennesket og gjorde alle ord banale. Hvordan kunne dét rummes i ord, som knap kunne rummes i tankerne?
I tiden efter forsøgte lokale forfattere at forholde sig til begivenheden på forskellig vis, men alle med en forsigtighed og ærefrygt overfor den allestedsnærværende angst, der hang i gaderne og lå på alting som støvet fra de to tårne.
Ligesom de to faser i moderniteten (efter 2 verdenskrig) er der en overgang i tiden efter 9/11. Først er det for tæt på til overhovedet at behandle i ord. Siden kan det formuleres med en vis distance.
Faglige Mål:
Dette forløb har til mål at give eleverne en forståelse for nutidige forfatteres tanker og den litterære behandling af et konkret fænomen fra (post)moderne tid. De skal analysere artikler, digte og essays, der handler om traumet i folket og i kunsten. Desuden kan emnet behandles i forhold til det postmoderne samfund.
