Titel 11 Literary Love II: Romeo and Juliet

This course focuses on the theme of love. We will look into the theme of love as it is expressed in William Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet". We will analyze selected parts of "Romeo and Juliet", paying particular attention to the portrayal of love. Additionally, we will explore the Elizabethan literary period to better understand the time in which these texts were written. Finally the play is put into into perspective by reading a modern text about star crossed lovers.
