Forløb om amerikansk hip hop og rap.
I forløbet sætter vi fokus på genrens historie og særlige kendetegn med udgangspunkt i kapitlet "Beat It" fra Jakob Bækgaard m.fl.: "Open Wide". (Praksis, 2023). Her inddeles hip hoppen historisk i fire faser: 1. Old School Hip Hop, 2. The Golden Age of Hip Hop, 3. Mainstream Hip Hop and 4. New Millennium Rap.
