Opgives til eksamen
Gennem læsning af litterære og sagprosa tekster har forløbet haft til formål at give eleverne en grundviden om de historiske, kulturelle og samfundsmæssige forhold, der prægede Storbritannien under Dronning Victorias regeringstid fra 1837-1901. Vi har haft fokus på industrialiseringen, den øgede velstand, rollen som kolonimagt, videnskabens rolle, familiens rolle, kønsroller, de fattiges vilkår og den særlige moral, der udviklede sig i takt med, at middelklassen kom til at spille en større rolle. Emnet "English as a global language" er blevet introduceret som en del af forløbet.
