OPGIVES TIL EKSAMEN.
Forløbet ligger i forlængelse af værklæsningen af "Normal People".
Forløbet introducerer den litterære og kulturelle strømning "New Sincerity", som opstår som en reaktion på postmodernismens ironi, kynisme og distance.
Med fokus på temaer som autenticitet, sårbarhed og menneskelig forbundethed undersøger forløbet, hvordan "New Sincerity" kommer til udtryk på tværs af genrer.
Der arbejdes både med noveller, romanuddrag og taler samt film og tv-serier. Gennem dette brede medieudvalg analyseres det, hvordan søgen efter oprigtighed kommer til udtryk gennem vidt forskellige narrative og visuelle greb.

Et kort forløb med fokus på udtale og fluency. I forløbet arbejdes der med forskellene på britisk og amerikansk engelsk, og der gives desuden en introduktion til det fonetiske alfabet (lydskrift). Gennem lytteøvelser undersøges forskellige accenter og dialekter, og der arbejdes analytisk og praktisk med intonation og trykplacering.
Forløbet afsluttes med en videoaflevering, hvor eleverne iagttager og efterligner en britisk eller amerikansk "native speaker", efterfulgt af elevfeedback.

Global Voices - EKSAMEN
OPGIVES TIL EKSAMEN.
I forløbet "Global Voices: Postcolonialism, Language and Identity" arbejdes med tekster skrevet af forfattere fra tidligere britiske kolonier.
Gennem analyser af engelsksprogede tekster fra forskellige postkoloniale kontekster - herunder Antigua, Sydafrika, Nigeria og Indien - undersøger vi temaer som identitet, kulturel assimilation, sproglig magt, racisme, migration og oplevelsen af at navigere mellem flere kulturer.
Forløbet bevæger sig på tværs af genrer og inddrager både fiktion og sagprosa. Eleverne arbejder med, hvordan postkoloniale erfaringer kommer til udtryk i forskellige teksttyper, herunder personlige erindringer, essays og romaner.
Derudover indgår en lille skriveøvelse med udgangspunkt i tekstuddraget 'On the Notion of Home' fra John McCleods "From Beginning Postcolonialism" (2010).
