Animal Farm / Dystopian Fiction (Exam)
The dystopian genre and its characteristics, dystopia as a subgenre of science fiction, focus on terms related to the dystopian genre such as utopia, dystopia, man and conformity, obedience, propaganda, oppression, rebellion, etc. (+ protagonist, antagonist). We discuss the reasons for the popularity of dystopian literature (throughout time as well as at present) and look at dystopian literature in a historical context. .
Finally, the students are introduced to film analysis with a focus on the use and function of cinematic techniques
