Titel 1	TRUE CRIME This course focuses on the media literacy aspect of true crime: the storytelling, sensationalism and manipulation of emotions that is at the heart of this genre. We will continually ask ourselves whether the information we are presented to in these non-fiction materials belong in the realm of education, edutainment or entertainment. Titel 2	LOVE During this course we'll focus on various kinds of love: the media mythologized kinds (our somewhat one-sided and certainly romantic ideals), to Marlowe's pre-romantic notions of love tied to nature's beauty and a series of song lyrics depicting aspects of different stages of modern love. Titel 4	SEX & GENDER The course spans a wide range of areas: love, sex and sexuality, gender (as identity and expression), sexual orientation and variations and also the underlying issue of biological sex (comprising the sex binary and intersex). Firstly, the course deals with myths regarding sex and the culture and taboos surrounding especially teenage experiences of sex.
