Undervisningen har haft fokus på at udvikle elevernes engelsksproglige kompetencer samt deres evne til at arbejde analytisk og argumenterende med bæredygtighed/sustainability og relaterede samfunds- og virksomhedsforhold. Der er arbejdet med både faglige tekster (korte tekster, artikler og filmklip) og sprogbrug (grammatik, skriveopgaver og tekstnære analyse).
Eleverne har desuden arbejdet med at omsætte viden om bæredygtighed til skriftlige opgaver og mundtlig formidling, fx via kortlægning af centrale pointer og opbygning af en argumenterende tekst (corporate activism/argumenterende essay).
Undervisningen har især arbejdet mod at eleverne kan:
* Forstå og anvende engelsk fagligt gennem læsning af korte introduktioner, tekster og opgaver samt udnyttelse af centrale begreber inden for sustainability.
* Analysere og diskutere indhold i introduktioner, tekster og videoer (fx Years of Living Dangerously – Episode 208: Uprising samt tekster om corporate activism og Shein).
* Udtrykke holdninger og argumentere ved at formulere topic sentences og en introduktion til et argumenterende essay.

Overordnet formål
Forløbet om horror har haft fokus på at styrke elevernes engelsksproglige kompetencer gennem arbejdet med filmiske og narrative genrekendetegn. Eleverne har arbejdet med, hvordan horror skaber effekt gennem filmtekniske virkemidler (fx lyd, billedkomposition, tempo, kamerabrug og stemningsskabelse), og de har knyttet det til forståelsen af, hvorfor publikum opsøger horror.
Derudover har eleverne arbejdet med sprog og skrivning via opgaver knyttet til læsning af tekster (herunder Stephen King) samt opgaver om grammatik og ordforråd.
Undervisningen har især arbejdet hen imod at eleverne kan:
* Forstå og analysere horror-tekster og horrorfilm/sekvenser ved at identificere og forklare centrale elementer i genren.
* Anvende begreber om filmteknik og kunne beskrive, hvordan virkemidler påvirker publikum (mood, spænding, frygt, forventning).

Globalization
Forløbet Globalization har haft fokus på at udvikle elevernes evne til at forstå og analysere globalisering som fænomen—både kulturelt, økonomisk og menneskeligt—gennem faglige tekster og film-/videomateriale. Fx har vi set filmen "American Factory", som viser, hvad globaliseringen betød for en gruppe amerikanske arbejdere, som blev underlagt en kinesisk arbejdsgiver. Desuden har vi set på migration/immigration igennem globaliseringens linse. Hvorfor ønsker mange at immigrere til Australien, og hvordan forholder Australien sig til immigranter?
Mål:
* Forstå og anvende viden om globalisering gennem læsning af tekster og analyse af videoer (fx migration, arbejdsforhold og virksomheders globale påvirkning).
* Analysere og formidle globaliseringsproblemstillinger mundtligt og skriftligt.

Forløbet har arbejdet med temaet “Growing up” gennem litterære tekster, hvor eleverne møder situationer, der handler om identitet, modning og fællesskab i overgangen fra barn til voksen.
Mål
* Læse og forstå fiktionstekster om at vokse op, og forklare centrale handlingselementer
samt temaer ud fra tekstnære detaljer.
* Analysere korttekster/uddrag med fokus på fortællerens perspektiv og betydningen af, hvordan begivenheder fremstilles.
Bogen "13 reasons Why" er også relevant ift. dette emne.

Efter læsning af en tekst, som indførte os i Australsk historie og kultur, arbejdede vi med TV-serien "Territory" (Netflix),, et familiedrama i det australske outback-miljø.
Herefter så vi filmen "Rabbit-Proof Fence", som omhandlede The Stolen Generations.
Mål:
* Forklare centrale kultur- og samfundspointer, herunder særligt historiske forhold omkring The Stolen Generations med udgangspunkt i filmens tematik og handling.
* Redegøre for Australiens centrale historie og identitet, herunder forholdet mellem europæisk ankomst (fx James Cook) og den oprindelige bosættelse (Aboriginal Australians).
