Titel 11

Empire to Brexit: Colonialism Race Ident (EKSAMEN)

Forløbet handler om det britiske imperium og dets betydning - både for de tidligere
kolonier, men også for Storbritannien som samfund i dag.

Forløbet indledes med, at eleverne lærer, hvad det britiske imperium var. Derudover
møder eleverne det engelske sprog som lingua franca. Efterfølgende rettes fokus mod
de tidligere kolonier Indien, Samoa og Nigeria. Her møder eleverne tekster, der særligt
omhandler imperiets aftryk på koloniernes befolkning.

Forløbet afrundes med et fokus på det multikulturelle Storbritannien i dag samt debatten
om eftervirkningerne af det britiske imperium.
