After a brief introduction to Japanese inspiration in western art, the students will do linocuts and prints inspired by Japanese woodblock prints as well as more modern motifs.

Titel 3 The Human Body in Art


In this project focus is on the representation of the human body in art. We will look at art history and the way the body has been represented in art historically and in contemporary art (painting, sculpture, performance..).
We will incorporate the terms "naked vs. nude" and "the male/female gaze".
