Titel 1 Water

We work with the different states water appears in, distribution of water on earth, the water cycle, porosity and permeability, the ocean conveyor belt (experiments from NOS).

We further work with drainage basin, hydrographs, river process and landforms. Further we look at cases of flooding in different regions of the world.

Map work including work with latitude and longitude as well as topographical maps both analog and digital (Google Earth).

Titel 2 Energy and Sustainability

Presentation and comparison of different energy sources (renewable and non-renewable). Energy consumption and production of different energy sources over time and currently. Advantages and disadvantages of different energy sources as well as distribution across the world. This is treated in relation to sustainability and the three spheres this is comprised of. Further ecological footprint is used as an indicator for consumption globally, for countries and students themselves. Finally, the Sustainable Development Goals are used to illustrate many of the above issues through work with case studies.

We will work on the theory behind plate tectonics and the plate boundaries associated to the movement of tectonic plates.
You will study what causes earthquakes and volcanic activity and gain knowledge about how these activities have an impact on the living conditions of the affected people.
