Horrorforløbet behandler horror som litterær genre og undersøger, hvad det er, der fascinerer os ved gyset. Vi har læst teoretiske tekster om genren, og læst artikler, noveller, spillefilm, kortfilm og flash-fiction.
Forløbet introducerer genretræk og forskellige virkemidler.
Af teori bruges bl.a. Freuds æg og isbjerget, for at give redskaber til at analysere symbolske elementer i horror.

Et forløb om den litterære krise, som fulgte terrorangrebet på World Trade Centret. Hvordan kunne man skrive om noget, der var så tæt på. Som rystede mennesket og gjorde alle ord banale. Hvordan kunne dét rummes i ord, som knap kunne rummes i tankerne?
I tiden efter forsøgte lokale forfattere at forholde sig til begivenheden på forskellig vis, men alle med en forsigtighed og ærefrygt overfor den allestedsnærværende angst, der hang i gaderne og lå på alting som støvet fra de to tårne.
Ligesom de to faser i moderniteten (efter 2 verdenskrig) er der en overgang i tiden efter 9/11. Først er det for tæt på til overhovedet at behandle i ord. Siden kan det formuleres med en vis distance.
Faglige Mål:
Dette forløb har til mål at give eleverne en forståelse for nutidige forfatteres tanker og den litterære behandling af et konkret fænomen fra (post)moderne tid. De skal analysere artikler, digte og essays, der handler om traumet i folket og i kunsten. Desuden kan emnet behandles i forhold til det postmoderne samfund.

Titel 10 New Zealand -(EKSAMEN)- (15%)

This theme examines the New Zealand spirit and history through a look at their approach to teaching New Zealand history in the public school system.
We start from the perspective of the outsider, following American talk show host, Stephen Colbert, as he visits the Prime Minister of NZ, Jacinda Ardern, in 2020.
This reveals the character of the New Zealander in contrast to American humor and values.
From here, we look into the news coverage of the petition to change the curriculum of national history in school, which asked for a more guided list of topics for teachers to cover as the National History Teachers' Association had growing concerns for the youth's lack of knowledge of their own historical past.
We look at the tendency of history to be white washed.
We watch Once Were Warriors to experience the stigma that the Maori experience.
We finish with a more solemn address from Jacinda Ardern at the Christchurch memorial in 2019, as she speaks to the public about the New Zealand response to the terrorist attack at two mosques.

Titel 11 Multicultural Britain -(EKSAMEN)- (5%)

Multicultural Britain is a focused look at the concept of the multicultural society. Through a selection of fiction and non-fiction texts, we explore attitudes in England, especially London, towards immigrants and the strengths and weaknesses of the culturally diverse society.
In class we have discussed our own experiences with foreign cultures and minorities and prepared our vocabulary for discussing the texts. We've also focused on the breakdown of the analysis of short stories for oral presentations.
