1. The Cult of Celebrity
I dette forløb arbejdes med forskellige aspekter af emnet "The Cult of Celebrity". Der tages udgangspunkt i kapitlet om "The Cult of Celebrity" i "Angles" (Daugaard & Kjær Andersen, Gyldendal 2014).
Eleverne arbejder med forståelse og analyse af skønlitterære og faglitterære tekster i forskellige genrer. Derudover inddrages dokumentarfilm og eleverne afslutter forløbet med selv at producere en "mockumentary" om emnet, hvor de får afprøvet deres engelskkundskaber og viden om emnet.
Sideløbende arbejdes med diverse sproglige og grammatiske øvelser.

2. American Values
I dette forløb beskæftiger vi os med amerikanske værdier især med udgangspunkt i bogen "American Ways".
Det forventes at eleverne får kendskab til de traditionelle amerikanske værdier som "equality of opportunity" og "hard work". I fremlæggelsesgrupper arbejdes også med centrale emner som "the religious heritage", "the frontier heritage" og "politics and government" for at bibringe eleverne en grundlæggende forståelse af amerikanske værdier og det amerikanske samfund.
For at nuancere beskrivelserne i "American Ways" inddrages nyere artikler om de politiske og demografiske splittelser i USA.
Forløbet afsluttes med filmen "The Revenant" for at konkretisere de værdier, der knytter sig til "the American Frontier" og samtidig se på vigtige emner som multikulturalisme og religion i USA.

3. Suburbia
Forløbet er et introducerende analyseforløb, og eleverne introduceres for analysebegreber til både litterær analyse og filmanalyse i forbindelse med serien Mad Men. Forløbet kredser om fremstillinger af suburbia i England, USA og andre engelsktalende områder. Der drages historiske, samfundsmæssige og kulturelle vinkler undervejs med brug af non-fiktivt supplerende materiale. Eleverne trækker desuden fra viden om kolonier fra grundforløbet i forbindelse med læsning af tekst fra andre engelsksprogede områder og et tidligere forløb om The American Dream.

4. Coraline and Horror
Dette forløb lægger ud med værklæsning af Neil Gaimans "Coraline" (2002) med gennemgang af flg. analytiske fokuspunkter:
- characterisation
- setting
- narrative point of view
- composition (især i forhold til "The Hero's Journey")
- theme
- message
- genre characteristics in fantasy and horror
Ift. fantasy fokuseres især på Joseph Campbells begreber om "the monomyth" og "The Hero's Journey".
Herefter arbejdes med andet materiale indenfor horrorgenren, hvor vi berører begreber som "the uncanny".

The English and the World (covering Lingua Franca)
Der arbejdes med relationen gennem tiderne mellem England og resten af verden og der ses både på det britiske imperium, forhold i de tidligere kolonier som Kenya og Indien og forholdene for indvandrere fra de tidligere kolonier. Under dette forløb berøres bl.a. flg. punkter i læreplanen:
- væsentlige historiske, kulturelle og samfundsmæssige forhold i Storbritannien
- historiske og aktuelle forhold i andre engelsksprogede regioner
- det engelske sprog anvendt som globalt lingua franca
